Covid-19 Update
We would like to inform you of the changes we need to implement to reduce the risk to patients, their families and to our staff. Due to recent guidelines the appointment times will be extended and therefore we will be seeing fewer patients per day, so please be patient with us. Staff will also be wearing masks, face shields and a disposable gown or apron (PPE) depending on the procedure you are having.
Please read the information below before coming for your appointment.
Covid pre-screening questionnaire and medical history questionnaire
Before coming to the practice you’ll be asked to complete a pre-screening and medical questionnaire, at least the day before your appointment. These questionnaire’s are important to check your vulnerability status, so we can make sure your appointment is at a suitable time.
Temperature check
Your temperature will be taken on arrival at the practice. Should your temperature be > 38.0 we may not be able to proceed with your appointment and this may have to be rescheduled. If you have a thermometer at home, it would be helpful for you to take your own temperature and then if you do have a temperature > 38.0 then you could give the practice a call.
Hand sanitiser
Hand sanitiser will be given by reception on arrival and then again on entry and exit to the surgery by the dental nurse.
Masks
If you do not have a mask, we will provide you with one and ask you to wear it whilst in the practice, apart from when we are providing clinical treatment. The mask is then to be taken home by yourself.
Social distancing
Please respect social distancing within the practice. As a practice we will encourage this as much as the layout of the practice allows, but we will not be able to guarantee this. You may postpone your appointment if you feel that you do not want to attend, as we cannot guarantee 2-meter social distancing. If you have further questions regarding social distancing please feel free to contact the practice.
Attending unaccompanied
You must come on your own (unless there is a need to be accompanied) i.e. parent or carer.
Do not to arrive early for appointment
You will not be able to enter the practice early and sit in the waiting room, so if you are early, please wait in your car or outside the practice, as we try to reduce number of patients in the practice. There will be no magazines or use of the water machine in the waiting room. Whenever possible we will try and get you directly into the surgery rather than using the waiting room. You should arrive at the appointed time and let reception know that you are here. They will then either send you straight up to the surgery or ask you to wait outside.
Use of facilities
Our washroom facilities will be closed for general use and can only be used if absolutely necessary.
Please bring your own pen should any additional paperwork be required to be completed.
Payment
We will not be able to take any cash payments unless authorised prior to your appointment. Contactless payments are our preferred method of payment, however we can also take bank transfers or payments over the phone. If you are coming into the practice for treatment, we will be taking full payment prior to your appointment. Our reception team will arrange this with you on the day before your appointment.
Clean teeth
Please could you clean your teeth thoroughly before attending for your appointment and avoid all food and drinks until after your appointment.
Please do not bring any food or drink into the practice and keep personal belongings to a minimum.
We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control to secure the safety of our patients and staff.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information before your appointment. We look forward to welcoming you to the practice again.
